Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue is a small home-front rescue located near the Orange County/Riverside County border.  We do not have a public shelter; we are foster home based (Yorba Linda is simply a centralized area named).  The primary focus is to rescue a few dogs from overpopulated shelters that simply need more time for someone to notice them.  We are not necessarily looking for the cutest fluffies or super popular breeds; we frequently look for dogs that others will not give a chance to, or are overlooked.  This includes dogs that are slightly older, or dogs that may have an injury or medical concern that we as a rescue can address in order for that dog to become adoptable without being an ongoing hardship to an adopter.  The intent is to locate friendly animals who could otherwise be great family pets if not for their misfortunes.  We often focus on boy dogs as the males tend to overpopulate our shelters (please read my article “Boys vs. Girls”).  We ask that those viewing this website open their hearts and minds to embracing what we at Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue feel is the true mission of rescue, and that is, to give a dog a chance at love that might be different from your past experiences or favorite breed or type, and open up a conversation with us about compassion and hope (PLEASE READ MY ARTICLE ON MY WEBSITE (look at the tabs up top) ENTITLED, “Embracing Rescue”).

We are a shelter pull organization only.  We do not take owner surrenders, however, we can help by way of our Community Outreach Pet Re-homing Program, whereby the pet owner and rescue work collaboratively to find your pet a new home.  We also offer suggestions and tips for owners needing to re-home their pet.  If you find a stray, you may phone us and we will do our best to advise you what is best to do.  If, after following a certain protocol to locate the owner of the found dog, you are willing to hold that dog until a home is found, we can help by way of our Community Outreach Pet Re-homing Program.

Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue is a 501 3 c non-profit tax-exempt organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Please consider donating to the rescued dogs of Angel’s Heart. Every rescue needs spay/neuter, vaccinations and a micro-chip prior to adoption. Most dogs need a vet check or vet care at some point. Shelter dogs often have pull fees. Angel’s Heart has also taken several specialty medical cases such as femur repair surgeries due to the dog being injured. Donations are also needed for basic provisions and care. Without your generous donations, no matter how “small” the amount, we couldn’t begin to cover the costs of helping these precious souls who indeed have the “Heart of an Angel.” Thank you for your kind contribution.
